Preference Night Rush Closed Event #2 (Invite Only)

When: September 15, 2025 from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Where: Saint Louis Univeristy - Duburoug Hall Pere Marquette Gallery RM 240
221 N Grand Blvd
Saint Louis , MO 63103

Preference Night is one of the most meaningful and defining events in the Epsilon-Alpha Chapter’s recruitment process. This formal evening—suit and tie required—offers potential new members (PNMs) a chance to fully experience the values, traditions, and high standards of Tau Kappa Epsilon.

The event will take place at DuBourg Hall, Pere Marquette Gallery, Room 240 on the campus of Saint Louis University.

The evening begins with all invited PNMs gathered in front of the full chapter. Each PNM is asked to deliver a brief speech, sharing who they are, why they’re interested in TKE, and how they hope to grow within the brotherhood. This is followed by a group Q&A portion, where PNMs respond to a mix of serious and lighthearted questions, helping us get to know them more personally and authentically.

After this, each PNM will participate in a one-on-one interview with a member of the chapter. This private conversation allows for a more focused and honest discussion about values, expectations, and fit within our fraternity.

While the event is formal, PNMs who do not own a suit and tie are still welcome. We ask that they contact the Chapter President at slutkepresident@gmail.com in advance to request permission and discuss accommodations.

Preference Night is a time of connection, reflection, and purpose—a true embodiment of our mission to build Better Men for a Better World.

The Epsilon-Alpha Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Saint Louis University was installed as a chapter on May 21, 1955.

Since 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon has never had an exclusionary clause for membership. TKE does not judge men on their wealth, rank or honor, but instead on their personal worth and character.

Our mission is to "to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life." In essence, we build Better Men for a Better World.
