In one of our most impactful philanthropic efforts to date, the Epsilon-Alpha Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Saint Louis University proudly raised $27,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the 2024–2025 academic year. One of the cornerstone events of this success was our fundraising dinner, which featured both a live and silent auction. The evening brought together alumni, families, university staff, and community members for a night of generosity, celebration, and shared commitment to the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.
Behind this achievement was a year of persistent effort and planning. Our dedicated fundraising committee visited over 250 local businesses throughout the year, seeking donations, sponsorships, and auction items. From in-person outreach to email campaigns, our brothers spent countless hours coordinating logistics, writing proposals, and building relationships with local partners who believe in our cause.
This experience not only made a tangible difference for the children of St. Jude, but also provided invaluable growth opportunities for our members. Organizing large-scale events, communicating with business leaders, managing sponsorships, and delivering results has equipped our chapter with real-world experience in event planning, professional communication, and nonprofit fundraising. For many of our members, these efforts have become compelling stories to share in job interviews, resume highlights, and personal reflections on leadership, teamwork, and service.
At TKE, we believe philanthropy should not only change the world—but also shape the men who lead it.
